Home Travel Tips

Do you have an important trip coming up? Whether it’s for work or for pleasure, there is still a lot that goes into planning any sort of excursion. If you are like me, you like to look your best when travelling, and it can sometimes add up to cost an arm and a leg.

So, how does one prep for an upcoming trip without going broke? Some of these hacks might surprise you.

In theory, travel is the only thing that can make you richer by spending money. You gain experience, memories, and possibly even some cultural additions, and this makes you a richer person. All theory aside, it does get pricey and there are ways to make sure you look your best and still party like a rock star.

First, if you want to up your wardrobe, pay a visit to a nearby second hand store. You will be surprised to find that other people’s junk really can be your treasure. From designer brands, to vintage finds, you can find everything you need for way below MSRP price.

Second, make sure you look fly and fresh and get a fresh do or even a quick mani and pedi. I know both of these things sound expensive, but I assure you, they don’t have to be. There are plenty of sites that offer discounted nail service in your area, you just have to know where to look. The same goes with salon services.

Lastly, pre-plan your itinerary. While spontaneity is fun and often exciting, it can be costly. Budgeting and planning ahead of time can help you plan accordingly and make sure you stay on track. If you can, put aside a certain amount of money as your “emergency stash” in case something really cool comes up and you simply cannot miss out!
